Participants

Simone Fujita is an art librarian/archivist and Bibliographer for African American Art at the Getty Research Institute. As Bibliographer, she leads library collection development efforts for the Getty’s African American Art History Initiative. Passionate about community documentation, the arts, and the power of self-published media, she is a cultural worker who envisions the library as a critical site for inspiration, education, and empowerment.

Krystal Tribbett is the Curator for Orange County Regional History and the Research Librarian for Orange County at the University of California, Irvine.

 

Presented by the Getty Research Institute, this conversation complements the exhibition The Black Index curated by Bridget R. Cooks, Associate Professor in the Department of African American Studies and the Department of Art History at the University of California, Irvine.
